Kingston High School
2007 - Kingston, Washington
The 113,000 square-foot school is terraced into a sloped, wooded site that is viewed as part of the daily learning experience and defined by its connection to the adjacent wetlands. Sensitive design of the site provides a variety of amenities including maintenance of wildlife habitat, protection of wetlands, effective storm water management systems, efficient sports field layouts, direct circulation, dispersed parking, re-connection of community trails and a layout that encourages student exploration of the natural environment.
