St. Thomas Life Center serves as the parish hall for St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The building encompasses a great hall for congregational gatherings, a choir practice room, church offices, and classrooms. Shower facilities and a commercial-level kitchen support the church’s ability to host homeless encampments.
A unique feature is the crypt located in the chapel of repose. It is designated as the final resting place for a major donor, after whom the Center is named. Constructed as a design-build project in collaboration with Bayley Construction, the design evolved from preliminary documents prepared by Medina architect Mark Nelson and is intended to be deferential to the adjoining 1950’s St. Thomas Church.
