As Director of Sustainability, Kristian leads the firm’s work to advance high performance design. Working with clients and project teams to craft specific sustainability principles, goals, and targets at the beginning of the project, Kristian provides continual support throughout the design and construction phases to ensure sustainable goals are met. In his role as Associate Principal, Kristian is passionate and adept at leading the design of K-12 and civic projects, and he excels in the management of their development. Kristian combines critical thinking, technical expertise, and his ability to facilitate large teams, steering each project toward the client’s goals. He enjoys the challenge of designing meaningful facilities that exude positive civic presence, while incorporating all of the functional requirements critical for a project’s success.
"Thank you for pulling a rabbit out of a hat! The Building Systems Workshop you facilitated for us yesterday was focused and productive, and participants expressed their appreciation for the organization/ structure and opportunity to dialogue with colleagues about the state of their art.
I know you set aside some other priorities to help us pull this off within a short timeline, and I sincerely appreciate all that you did to make the day work so well. Hope you get to enjoy some time to rest this weekend, and gear up for all those other projects still awaiting your attention!"
